We have just signed the lease on our new apartment and we are very excited! It is a first floor limestone (we have a stoop) in Park Slope, Brooklyn with 4 rooms, a big kitchen, a bathroom and a back patio/yard area! The previous tenants lived there for 5 years and the couple that is renting it to is us is very nice. Here are the pictures:

This is the front of the Limestone building…there are 4 floors above us.

The front again and we are on the first floor.

The front door is to the left, Keith is looking at it. The light at the far end of the picture is coming from the windows in the front room from the first pictures.

Going past/behind Keith in the hallway picture you find this room.

This is the same room as above.

The hallway shown in the 3rd picture from the top (with the front door) is to the right, the curtains (which we might take down) lead to another smaller room that has a door that opens to the hallway (kinda weird).

This is the smaller room mentioned above. Note: There is a very large/tall closet at the end of this room.

This is the weird door in the smaller room mentioned above.

After you exit the weird door, you would enter the same hallway as before…

where you would find an even larger/taller closet (shown above), which is the doorway in the hallway picture closest to the camera…

and opposite the aforementioned closet is the very small bathroom…

which they are currently working on (that’s why it’s all dirty).

When you exit the bathroom you see the above, which is a window into an open room and doors to another room, possible bedroom?

…the kitchen at this point is to our right, past this huge pantry!

This is hallway/open room/window mentioned above looking on from the entrance of the kitchen.

This is the entrance to the possible bedroom, through the French doors.

A better view of the doors and the entrance to the probable bedroom. Note: That is a shallow cabinet with see through shelves above.

This is looking from inside the bedroom.

The kitchen – they are doing some work on it..I LOVE the red.

Showing the width of the kitchen.

The door from the kitchen to the back yard/patio area.

Walking out the back door…

Looking down on the patio/backyard area (the landlady told us a story about when she held birthday parties for her children that she raised in this house out here).

This is the stairway to the patio/backyard area…

Looking back up at the house.

Looking back up toward the kitchen

Detail of the front room ceiling

Detail of the floor throughout the whole house. It’s original from 1900 and was just refinished…it’s beautiful.

Detail of front room wall.
Well that’s it! If that wasn’t enough, you will just have to come and visit. We took 30 pictures of the rooms and the house is maybe 1100 square feet. I’m so excited, I don’t even know what to do!
We definitly don’t have enough furniture for all this space…it’s so exciting. There is like a Tara room, a Keith room, a living room, and a bedroom! YEAH!
