A Few Pictures

We’re working on getting our pictures online. For now, here is 1 of 3 for our professional photographs. These are the ones the photographers liked the best.

Professional Photos DVD 1 of 3

This DVD does cover the whole wedding, but there are over 2000 more pictures. We’re still sorting through it all.

We’re back from Honeymoon!

We had an amazing time, saw many awesome things and have some great pictures and a DVD of it all already (Thanks MOM!).

Wedding Over :) :(

The wedding was awesome, thanks to everyone for coming!

I hope everyone had a good time, we sure did.

Pictures will come eventually :)

The Time Has Come!!!

To all those we were not able to invite, or were not able to make it, we’ll throw one down for you! Everything is ready, *we think*! We both hope that all our hard work will pay off for all of our guests.

Enjoy yourselves, eat, drink, sleep and be merry!

We made it, barely!

After picking up the rental car, and finding out Tara had to be their in person to be added as an authorized driver, we decided that we’d be honest and I would be driving the whole trip. During the first hour Willow had a few accidents in the back seat. After that it was smooth sailing until we noticed a crack in our wind shield. We were okay with leaving it, except it started to grow ever so slowly. We were forced to go off course for an hour and a half and exchange our car for another (Impala for an Saturn View).

We spent the night in Florence, SC in a Ramada Inn. It was a bit of a dive, but it worked just fine. The next day we had smooth sailing until the last hour of the trip when Willow had two more accidents. We’ve decided our poor puppy gets car sick rather easily.

We arrived at Tara’s parents house around 5:00pm yesterday. I took the rental car back with my parents shortly after. We’re all settled and preparing to give our final counts to everyone.

We still have a lot to do, so we may be asking for help! Better hide now!

Heading to FL

I’m going to pick up the rental car in Manhattan in 10 minutes. After I figure out how to drive in a city with more one-way streets than I can imagine, I’ll be swinging by the house to pick up Tara, the dogs, and all our stuff (which includes one hefty load of dirty laundry).

We have about a 10 hours drive plus stops ahead of us before we land at a dive hotel in Florence, SC. The next day is more relaxed with about 6-7 hours to Florida.

I didn’t get very good sleep last night, we think Tara brought back another sickness from one of her dancer friends this past weekend. We will soldier through, and if necessary, we’ll have Willow drive for us.

Just a note on the page structure of this site.

Please note that the pages for this website are not only on the top bar, but also on the side bar under Pages. There are 2 pages under the side bar that are not on the top bar. They are new! Itinerary and Attractions & Restaurants. Also, Wedding Registry was recently added to the top bar. All pages for this website are listed under Pages to the right.

Ooo, golly gee, look at that ticker at 1 month & 7 days…eek! :)

Invites sent!

After many days of pain staking work on Tara’s part, the invitations were sent out on March 14. The process for it was pretty elaborate, but I think they came out awesome, and we’ve already got some really positive feedback. The invitations were made 100% by us, well 90% by Tara, all I did was print them out.

First thing we had to do was buy the paper. There’s a shop in NYC called Nepa Bhoń, which makes handmade papers. We tried a lot of sample colors and found the two we really liked. Next, we had to test to make sure we could print on the paper with our printer. Well Tara’s old printer wasn’t cutting it, so we bought a new printer that did the much better.

After printing was completed, Tara cut up all the invitations and rsvps. She then dipped the cut-edges in gold and red paint and hung them to dry.

After they were dried, she set up an assembly line to make it easy to package them correctly.

Next thing to do was add the wax stamp to seal the invitation.

And finally she mailed them!

It was a tremendous amount of work for her to do without my help. I was in Belgium, and procrastinated too long, and they had to be sent out, so she was forced to do them alone. She’s awesome!

We picked up our Wedding Bands today!

On Valentine’s Day we spent some time in the Diamond District in NYC finding a store we liked, and finding wedding bands we both liked. After some some duds, a very-very aggressive Polish lady who nearly cut off Tara’s finger, and a pushy guy that nearly made us buy a ring that was crap we found some we liked. Today we picked them up. They’d been available for a week, but I was in Belgium at the time they were ready and we wanted to pick them up together.

We both very pleased and are looking forward to wearing them legitimately!
